Dermalogica's Jane Wurwand Honored

Jane Wurwand, co-Founder of Dermalogica and its philanthropic initiative, FITE (Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship), was recently honored by LA-based anti-trafficking organization, Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking (CAST). The award was given at the “From Slavery to Freedom Gala – Celebrating Women Helping Women, Innovation and Impact” annual gala, held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

Wurwand was joined by other 2014 Honorees, Mayor Eric Garcetti and First Lady Amy Elaine Wakeland; Nena Ruiz, Trafficking Survivor and Anti-Slavery Advocate; and Chime for Change, Founded buy Gucci.

Dermalogica was honored for its work in supporting women’s financial independence and economic empowerment through its global nonprofit initiative, FITE. Since it launched in 2011, FITE has helped start or grow more than 40,000 women-owned businesses around the world.
