HOW-TO: "Jewel Thief" Nails with Swarovski Crystals

Lauren Salapatek | June 5, 2014 | 1:19 PM

For the Blonds Fall/Winter 2014 runway show, CND's team of Education Ambassadors created 23 unique "good girl gone bad" nail designs in the CND Design lab. Learn how to translate this mini-masterpiece into a DIY wearable work of art. Here, learn the "Jewel Thief" nail design (with Swarovski Crystals!) by CND Education Ambassador, Heather Davis.

STEP 1: Apply 2 thin coats of VINYLUX Weekly Polish in Locket Love.

STEP 2: While still tacky, apply gold leaf to the bottom 1/4 of the nail, followed by chains, then Swarovski crystals, pears and any other desired jewelry.

STEP 3: Use a detail brush to encase VINYLUX Weekly polish and embellishments with VINYLUX Weekly Top Coat.
