HOW TO: Brass It Down, Tone It Up

Maggie Mulhern | July 7, 2014 | 7:52 AM

MODERN fournd Victoria McGregor, a stylist/colorist from the Lush salon in Amherst, Ohio, on instagram (@tormcgregorhair). This dramatic makeover really caught our eye. We reached out to McGregor and she offered the HOW TO and formula:

“Debbie had a very brassy all over color with a natural regrowth of a level 6. I did a slice and weave combo of Redken Flash Lift bleach with 20 volume developer and a low light of 7NW Redken Color Gels with 10 volume developer (just to break it up) every second foil. The hair was toned with Kenra VP with 9 volume for 5 minutes. For style, I applied Moroccanoil and brushed with an Olivia Garden round brush.”
