Professionals of the Salon by InStyle inside JCPenney gathered at the brand’s 2016 Field Team Training in Dallas for a week of education and networking. Artistic Regional Managers Dilek Onur-Taylor and Michelle O’Connor were joined by guest educators from Matrix, Redken and Design Essentials to share new styling, color and cutting trends and techniques.

Salon VP Natalie Lockhart introduced JCP’s breast cancer initiative for the coming year. Leadership team members, including CEO Marvin Ellison, SVP/GMM Siiri Dougherty and EVP Stores Joe McFarland, provided insights into upcoming company plans, along with advice and guidance for Artistic Lead Designers.

“It was so gratifying to hear our leadership team share their excitement about the salon business,” says Lockhart. “They told us how important we are because our salons are amazing traffic drivers for the store and they build great loyalty. That makes us proud!”
