Warm to Cool Color Makeover for New Mom

Anne Moratto | October 19, 2016 | 1:40 PM

This beautiful finish by Jen Puebla Alfara (@chromacrowns) at Serenity Salon in Mission Viejo, CA, will give a new mother the luxury of time in-between appointments.

“Cooled down and gave her locks some life and contrast as we enter recovery mood from all the hair has to go through in the process of becoming a mommy,” Alfara says. “Giving her a deeper base and stretching it down will blend better with her natural dark hair as it starts to grow back in. Avoiding a highlight that goes all the way up to the scalp will also eliminate the use of lightener on all the new growth.

“I did not use lightener at this appointment at all, but keep in mind the before and after photos were indoor vs. outdoor lighting (as you can tell by the wind making an appearance).”

So with protection and hair health being the two key benefits of the additive, she was all in.
