COLOR CORRECTION: Spotty Blonde To Lovely Violet Ash

Maggie Mulhern | October 30, 2016 | 7:43 AM

Edith Mesa (@hairbyedith_), Rizos Spa, Queens, NY,  says her client went to another salon when she wasn't available. The client was looking for something different, was unhappy with the "other results" and came running back to Mesa.

Here Mesa shares the details for this makeover, utilizing the existing highlights:

Step 1: Match the base color using YELLOW 8.1 blended with 10 volume developer. Apply using the comb technique (combing the color down to blend out her spots to the line of demarkation). Process for 25 minutes.

Step 2: Apply YELLOW 11.11 (violet ash blonde) blended with 20 volume developer from mids to ends.

Step 3: Process with heat for 20 minutes and then shampoo with AG Purple Shampoo. Deep condition the hair with the Salerm Hair Mask.

Alison Alhamed and Jamie Newman | November 29, 2016

Our summer blonde made the perfect model to demonstrate the beauty of Redken’s new pH Bonder because although she isn’t frequently coloring her hair, living in New York City means she’s walking outside a lot with exposure to the sun and city elements—plus thermal damage from regular use of a curling wand or flatiron. So with protection and hair health being the two key benefits of the additive, she was all in.
