L’Oréal Professionnel USA  announced that industry veteran Michelle Ryan has joined the brand as Senior Vice President of Marketing. 

Ryan comes to L’Oréal Professionnel with an extensive background in haircare, hair color and the salon industry, having joined L’Oréal in 2001 following the company’s Matrix acquisition. She was the category lead on Matrix haircolor and soon after became the category head for haircare/styling. Ryan was later promoted to VP of Marketing on Matrix US.

In 2008, Ryan moved to the Garnier brand and held a variety of roles with increased responsibilities including category head for haircolor, skincare and then the SVP of Marketing. In this role, she successfully led the launch for the first ever BB cream in the US and developed award-winning skincare products including Dark Spot corrector and Miracle Sleeping cream.

 Most recently, Ryan was the SVP of Marketing for L’Oréal USA’s Multi-Cultural Beauty Group and managed all marketing, digital, and education departments for brands such as Dark and Lovely, Magic, Optimum and Dessange.

 In her new role, Ryan will strongly focus on elevating L’Oréal Professionnel’s overall brand position in the U.S., strengthen the brand’s partnership and presence in salons, while continuing to build its color and retail business as well as launch an assortment of new offerings in 2017 and beyond.
