All That Glitters: Glitter Nail Polish from Holiday and Winter Collections

Jamie Newman | November 1, 2016 | 1:59 PM
The “Enchanted” Holiday Collection from Zoya takes characters from your favorite fairy tales and transforms them into polish shades. This bewitching emerald green, called “Elphie” to embody the character from the musical Wicked of the same hue, will match the pines and mistletoes of holiday décor.

Orly’s Holiday 2016 collection is called “Sunset Strip,” paying homage to the glitz and glam of the famed stretch extending from Hollywood to Beverly Hills. The six-hue line contains a mix of shimmers, cremes and glitter polishes. Opt for a glittery hue from the collection, “Sunset Blvd,” for a seasonal candy apple red.

Inspired by the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, OPI’s Holiday Collection captures the elegance of Audrey Hepburn in the classic movie. The collection contains timeless reds and burgundies, fashion-inspired hues like “Black Dress Not Optional” black, and of course its fair share of festive glitters, such as “Champagne for Breakfast,” shown here.

No stranger to glitter, KBShimmer’s winter collection packs in glistening granules wherever possible. 16 colors are introduced in the collection, plus a few returning holiday favorites, including “Holly Back Girl” and “sELFie.” The shade, “Ornamentally Flawless,” shown here, is a soirée of sparkles in shades of turquoise, fuchsia, gold, green and silver.

With its fair share of glitters in various shapes and textures, CND Creative Play’s Holiday 2016 Celebration Collection can take your clients from Thanksgiving to New Years and everywhere in between. “Extravaglint” sparkles like confetti raining down at midnight on New Year’s Eve, “Turquoise Tidings” sparkles like aqua blue water your client might be taking on a winter vacation and “Stellarbration,” shown here is as magical as the first winter snow.

Essie’s winter collection, “Mod About Essie,” celebrates 1960s London. The colors reflect the fun fashion, parties and fun of the era. “Getting Groovy,” a metallic gold palladium, shown here, is reminiscent of a glass of bubbly or bold, retro hoop earrings. Groovy, baby!

Sparkles are just as synonymous with the holiday season as a piping hot cup of cocoa, a glass of bubbly, a snow globe-like flurry and the same seasonal playlist from years’ past. Urge your clients to get in the holiday spirit with shimmers and glitters from these holiday and winter nail collections.
