Warm and "Stripey" to Bright, Creamy, Vanilla Blonde

Maggie Mulhern | January 8, 2017 | 5:11 PM

After two in-salon visits, Nicole Healy (@bestblondesinmelbourne) of Vision Blonde (@visionblonde) salon in Melbourne, Australia, helped her client, Kate, reach her goal color.

"Kate came in with faded red tones in her hair. Her goal was to be back to a bright, creamy, vanilla blonde. It has taken me two visits with Kate to get her to her goal color."

According to Healy, working at a "blondes only" salon gives her an "edge" when working with blondes and helping them achieve their desired shades. "Sometimes it takes a few visits to get them to their goal color. We always take into consideration the quality and condition of the hair. No one wants a dry, unhealthy looking blonde!"

Here she shares the details for this transformation:

Step 1: Apply a full head of of back-to-back highlights using Foil Me Foils with Wella Blondor and 9% with Olaplex on the root area. Mids to ends: Wella Blondor with 1.9% and Olaplex.

Step 2: Process for 45 minutes. Follow with an Olaplex Intensive Step 1+2 Treatment at the basin.

Step 3: Shampoo with Evo The Therapist and then apply, as a toner, Wella Color Touch 9/16 and 10/73 Equal Parts and Color Touch 1.9% ratio 1:2. Process hair for five minutes and rinse with Evo The Therapist Conditioner.

Step 4: Using a Moroccanoil round brush, blow out using Evo End Doctor, Evo Liquid Rollers and Evo Shape Vixen. Finish with Evo She Bang a Bang and Eco Love Touch.

Amy McManus (@Camouflageandbalayage) says “My guest has been a client of mine for 5 years and we've been doing her hair close to the natural strawberry blonde she had as a teenager. She got excited after seeing her hair get featured on Modern Salon's Instagram and decided that she was going to let me play a bit." Here McManus shares the details for this enhancement:
