Maggie Mulhern | January 8, 2017 | 7:41 PM

Rikki Dimitriadis of Glaze Hair Studio, a Paul Mitchell focus salon located right near the Fire Island Ferry on Long Island, NY, says "This young lady came in with hair that has been previously lightened at home. As you can see, she has a band of orange throughout her hair, spots, dead ends. She is a natural level 5."

Here Dimitriadis shares the details for the transformation:

Step 1: Apply from roots to ends: Paul Mitchell Color XG 1 oz 4N+ 1 oz 5G with 2 oz of 10 volume.

Step 2: In between sections, balayage some of her ends to get rid of the orange band, and to add more dimension using 1 scoop Syncrolift, with 30 volume.

Step 3: Process for 30 minutes. Shampoo with Paul Mitchell Color Shampoo, and towel dry.

Step 4: Apply 1 1/2 ounce of 6NB PM Shines and 1/2 ounce of Clear Shine. Process for 10 minutes at the sink.

Step 5: Shampoo with Paul Mitchell Marula Oil shampoo and conditioner. Finish with a hair cut and smooth blow out using Marula Oil 3-1 styling cream.

CONVERSION: From Warm to Cool

Maggie Mulhern | April 17, 2017

"This client came in with very brassy, yellow and orange tones throughout her hair," says Austin Senior. "She was all levels 8 and 9 with about 5 inches of her natural level 7 regrowth. Her goal was a very cool platinum blonde with no silver and a shadow root slightly darker/cooler than her natural level." Here Senior shares the details for this makeover.
