Vanessa Castro (@extraglossy_) from NYC says she is "obsessed with doing hair - especially color corrections. I love that they challenge me to think and always try new things."

Here she had an opportunity to meet a challenge head on in a correction that took 6 1/2 hours:

Step 1: Apply Wella Blondor with 30 volume and Olaplex to her regrowth, staying 1/4 of an inch away from scalp. Lift to level 8.

Step 2: Apply more of that same formula to the remaining yellow blonde area. Process for another 10 minutes and then apply the same formula to the root/scalp area.

Step 3: Apply the same bleach with 13 volume to the rest of the band. Lift until all the hair is even. Rinse and towel dry.

Step 4: Re-apply the same bleach with 30 volume and Olaplex, watching to the middle section and then roots then ends. Lift to desired level and until even. Rinse and apply Olaplex #2 for 20 minutes. Shampoo and towel dry.

Step 5: Gloss from roots to ends using Wella Color Touch equal parts 10/6 10/81 and 10/0 with Gentle 6 volume developer. Process for 10-12 minutes. Rinse and condition with Wella Blondor Seal and Care for 4 minutes.

Step 6: Cut and gently layer the hair. Style with a Hot Tools 1" curling iron.
