Marianne Lohr (@mannie_mak), a freelance artist based in Bethlehem,PA., says "My new client came in to see me because she was never happy with her blonde and how gold/yellow it was. When she came in she had an inch of roots(level 5) and a golden band. She wanted to be an all over platinum blonde at first, but then had mentioned how she's always wanted to have purple hair. Her dream came true that day."

Here she shares the details for the makeover:

Step 1: Apply Wella Blondor 30&40 volume + Olaplex  at the root and midshaft for 25 minutes and then pull through all the way to the ends for 10 minutes with Olaplex no.2 mixed in.

Step 2: Rinse with cool water, towel dry and apply Olaplex no.2 for 10 minutes. Shampoo with Matrix So Silver. Process for 10 minutes to tone out any unwanted yellow and then condition.

Step 3: Dry the hair completely and apply Joico Intensity Light Purple on the roots and then alternate Joico intensity Lilac and Pulp Riot Lilac on the ends. Process for 25 minutes.

Step 4: Comb through, roots to ends. Process for an additional 8 minutes. Rinse and condition.

Step 5:  Blow dry and style with a BaBylissPRO 1 inch curling iron.  Detail with Aquage Detailing Creme and AG Texture Spray .

CONVERSION: From Warm to Cool

Maggie Mulhern | April 17, 2017

"This client came in with very brassy, yellow and orange tones throughout her hair," says Austin Senior. "She was all levels 8 and 9 with about 5 inches of her natural level 7 regrowth. Her goal was a very cool platinum blonde with no silver and a shadow root slightly darker/cooler than her natural level." Here Senior shares the details for this makeover.
