Catherine Long (@catherinelovescolor) owner of Catherine's Hair Design inside of Suite Salon Spa, Cadillac, Michigan, says "This first time guest found me on Instagram. She had been trying to get a true balayage look for a while but it always turned out brassy and not blended. She decided to drive the distance and give me a try. I was able to get her blonde and blended first visit."

Here Long shares the details for this makeover:

Step 1:  Balayage with Framar brush and a 2 inch chip brush using Oligo Black Light Clay lightener (15 grams) and cool toned lightener (5 grams) with 40 volume developer with Olaplex. "I decided to use her natural base color to my advantage and paint using her natural base for depth."

Step 2: Process for 35 minutes (no heat). Shampoo and towel dry.

Step 3: Gloss with Redken Shades EQ - Roots 6n, Mids 7P & 9P, Ends 9P. Blend and overlap  each color. Comb through. Process for 10 minutes. Rinse.

Step 4: Apply Olaplex 2 for 10minutes. Shampoo and condition. Style with 1 1/4 inch Bio Ionic long barrel.
