ColorProof Color Care Authority recently hosted its Artistic Specialist and Platform Artist teams in a  three-day technical training in Dallas, TX. The event kicked off with a brand update, a sneak peek at ColorProof’s upcoming new products, and the debut of the brand’s 2017 haircut and style collection, Spectrum. ColorProof Platform Artists Ruth Tedmori and Melissa Paldino and International Creative Director Phillip Wilson, who collaborated on the collection, took to the stage to present the four versatile cuts and inspiration behind them. The opening night concluded with a team-building exercise inspired by the television hit, Chopped, in which nine teams brainstormed and presented new hair care innovations to a panel of judges.

"Our version of Chopped created the perfect opportunity to get the team’s creative juices flowing and set a good bonding tone for the entire weekend, ” Vice President of Marketing, Kelly Beam says.

For day two, Paldino and Tedmori delivered the hands-on, technical instruction behind the Spectrum looks, Get in Formation and Cropped, which will debut in two separate classes as part of the ColorProof’s education curriculum offered for the first half of 2017. The second two looks, Go Long and Style to the Fullest, will be available the second half of the year. The peer-to-peer instruction was designed to give each artist the proper tools and techniques needed to perform and teach the looks with confidence and consistency. The team also received training on how to bridge sales and education and create connections with clientele.

For the final day of the training, eleven select attendees were invited to present their specialties to the team to inspire, elevate and improve their skills. ColorProof also held auditions and promoted seven Level 1 and Level 2 Artistic Specialists to the next level and bestowed Platform Artist, Chad White, with ColorProof’s award for outstanding leadership.

“We covered a ton of material over the course of the three days, and I was thrilled to see each artist digest the information, own it, and add it to their repertoire as an educator and artist,” says Jim Markham, ColorProof Founder, Product Developer and CEO. “This team of outstanding artists is the strongest and most creative we have had to date. Successful trainings like this like this allow us to continue to grow as a brand and rise to the next level inspired, empowered and with a renewed sense of comradery.”
