Bio Ionic, a premium line of professional styling tools, is hosting their second annual Bio Ionic Style Awards. Four talented hairstylists will have the opportunity to showcase their talent live on April 23rd, 2017 at Club Avalon in Hollywood for a chance to become Bio Ionic Style Award 2017 winner and receive an editorial photoshoot with a professional industry publication.
“The Style Awards gives hairstylists across the country the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity to top industry tastemakers,” says Founder of Bio Ionic, Fernando Romero. “We are thrilled to have the support of some of the top publications in our field and celebrate the talents of so many artists across the country.”
To kick off the Style Awards, Bio Ionic is hosting a six-week long Instagram competition where stylists are asked to showcase their talents by creating hairstyles using Bio Ionic tools, uploading their photos to Instagram with #BioIonicStyleAwards and a brief description of the style they chose and the Bio Ionic tool they used to get the look. The Bio Ionic team, including Romero, will select four lucky stylists to be flown out to Hollywood to take center stage and compete live in front of a celebrity panel of judges.
“Competing in the 2016 Bio Ionic Style Awards was a dream come true,” said 2016 Bio Ionic Style Awards winner, Kelsey Deuel, who created the winning rose gold Rockabilly inspired hair sculpture. “I was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to debut my work in front of the industry’s ultimate hair connoisseurs and it has forever changed my life.”
The night will continue with a runway show featuring the hair creations from industry elites followed by the 2017 Style Awards presentation, where one lucky winner will receive an editorial shoot. Guests will then be invited to join the after-party celebration for a night of dancing and fun.
The Bio Ionic Style Awards are now accepting submissions. The Style Awards contest entries must be submitted through Instagram by March 3rd, 2017 using the hashtag #BioIonicStyleAwards along with tagging @bioionicla.
