The new Igora Royal Opulescence colors are six shimmering shades inspired by the pigments used by Renaissance painters and dressmakers. The colors encourage exploration and artistry.

Emmanuel Ramirez (@emmanuelkuthaus)  of Kut Haus Salon in Claremont, CA worked with these new shades, hand painting his canvas to create a "Royal Fiery Slate" finish.

TECHNIQUE: Balayage to create a dimensional tone.

STEP TWO: Shadow roots with Igora Royal Opulescence 3-19/5-67 equal part &10vol.

                     Midshaft Igora Royal Opulescence 5-67 & 20vol.

Ends Igora Royal Opulescence 6-78 and 20vol

CONVERSION: From Warm to Cool

Maggie Mulhern | April 17, 2017

"This client came in with very brassy, yellow and orange tones throughout her hair," says Austin Senior. "She was all levels 8 and 9 with about 5 inches of her natural level 7 regrowth. Her goal was a very cool platinum blonde with no silver and a shadow root slightly darker/cooler than her natural level." Here Senior shares the details for this makeover.
