More than 20 Oribe Educators were in NYC recently for an intense training from key artists including Global Ambassador James Pecis; Creative Director Ronnie Stam; Director of Training and Content Kien Hoang; Lead Educator, International Nicci Welsh, and  Educator Davide Marinelli. The 2-day training, held at Canoe Studios along the Hudson River on Manhattan’s west side, was chock full of intense education including brand overview, sessions on product knowledge, demos and hands-on training.

Artists from eleven countries participated in the training designed to educate the educators to bring a consistent message back to their countries. Educators from as far away as Russia, United Arab Emirates, Czech Republic, Australia, Europe and Scandinavia were in attendance for Oribe Hair Care¹s first International Training held in the U.S.

The training focused on looks from Oribe¹s Journey to Mastery education platform. Each demonstration (two by James Pecis, two by Kien Hoang and one by Nicci Welsh) was followed by a hands-on with live models. This training for global artists, just one of several planned this year, is important to the leaders of the brand. “Oribe Hair Care is carried in 38 countries and growing,” says Daniel Kaner, Co-founder and Co-president of Oribe Hair Care. “We align with the most ardent believers‹the salons with conviction that are involved in their communities. It¹s our belief that instead of sending out a bunch of salespeople to teach in salons, we can lead with our global ambassadors who can speak to the ethos of the brand and the education that this company is built on.”

All in attendance left with a stronger sense of community and alignment with the Oribe mission statement: “Oribe Hair Care crafts exclusive, artisanal blends of the finest formulations for the glamorous and beauty-obsessed. Built upon a rich heritage of hairstyling, fashion and artistry, this truly luxe collection was created for taste-driven individuals who know that personal style, perfectly expressed and paired with excellence, is the ultimate luxury.”

James Pecis shares the instruction on adding unique texture in this exclusive demo taken immediately after presenting to the educators:
