When Matrix Artist Todd Kane’s mother lost her battle with cancer, he created Love Out Lavender--a movement uniting creative people to conquer cancer. Love Out Lavender challenges beauty professionals to use their creativity and passion to raise money for the City of Hope medical and research center.

Because each type of cancer has its own colored ribbon (pink for breast cancer, blue for colon cancer, etc.) Todd chose lavender because it represents all cancers.  Love Out Lavender challenges hair stylists to use the ribbon colors as inspiration to tell visual stories about their personal cancer experiences, and then use the images as fundraisers.  Fundraisers are easily shared on social media allowing supporters to donate easily and securely through unique links generated by loveoutlavender.org.
