Vidal Sassoon Memorial at London's St. Paul's Cathedral

Alison Alhamed | October 11, 2012 | 3:51 AM

Friday, October 12, marks a very important day for the professional beauty industry as we celebrate, honor and remember the life of Vidal Sassoon in London's St. Paul's Cathedral.

MODERN SALON made the journey across the ocean to pay our respects and to remember the man "who changed the world with a pair of scissors."

We recognize that not everyone will be able to attend the services---we encourage you to spend some time flipping through this tribute so you, too, can remember.

How To Winterize a Summer Blonde: Babylights with Reverse Balayage using Redken pH Bonder

Alison Alhamed and Jamie Newman | November 29, 2016

Our summer blonde made the perfect model to demonstrate the beauty of Redken’s new pH Bonder because although she isn’t frequently coloring her hair, living in New York City means she’s walking outside a lot with exposure to the sun and city elements—plus thermal damage from regular use of a curling wand or flatiron. So with protection and hair health being the two key benefits of the additive, she was all in.
