Short Blonde Hair: Before and After

MODERN Facebook fan Kate Spoleti, a stylist at Salon Sovay in Austin, Texas, loves a before-and-after. To take someone's look from a grown-out, undone look to a sleek style with shape--all from using your shears and imagination--is so exciting... especially when you take photos! Here, she shows off some of her favorite work.

"To really clean her hair up, I did a slight triangular one-length in the back," Spoleti says. "Then, I did square convex layers in the back, and eased my way into triangular layers in the front."

Next, Spoleti used the scissor-over-comb technique underneath the sides.
