MODERN is Thankful For Your Gift of Beauty

Be thankful for:

*the smiles in your mirror

*the beauty you create

*the career you chose

*the difference you make

*the inspiration

*the education

*the collaboration

*the busy days ahead

*the “giving back” that you and your colleagues do so generously and passionately

Today and every day, all of us at MODERN SALON Media are thankful for the opportunity to serve our beautiful community of salon professionals.  We add our thoughts and support to all on the east coast still struggling to cope with the effects of Sandy.  We have heard some amazing stories of hairdresser-to-hairdresser generosity and gratitude.  We will be collecting and sharing Sandy-inspired salon stories throughout the holiday season, and more important, encouraging salons and stylists to help hairdressers in need by participating in or contributing to various Sandy-related industry fundraisers.  There are some wonderful events and initiatives emerging, supported by associations, suppliers and salons.  Stay tuned to and MODERN SALON’s Facebook page for more details as they become available.  To donate immediately to the PBA Disaster Relief fund (with 100% of proceeds benefiting beauty professionals), visit

If you have a Sandy salon story to share, or another story you’d like to tell about why you are grateful you chose your career in beauty, MODERN would love to hear it. Please email me directly at
