LIVING PROOF made a HUGE announcement this morning...famed hairdresser Chris McMillan (he made his mark with his "Rachel" cut on Jennifer Aniston and hundreds of celebs ever since) has been named "Celebrity Hairstylist" for the brand. "This is the first time I've ever endorsed a product," he told Modern's Beauty and Fashion Director Maggie Mulhern this morning. "I am a product junky...I love products. But I've been using Living Proof and they really make a difference."

Chris McMillan Named LIVING PROOF Spokesperson

Interestingly, it was Aniston herself (Living Proof's co-owner and Spokesperson) who turned McMillan on to the line. "I saw how the products improved her hair so I started using them on my other clients. I was hooked." When asked WHAT specifically makes the difference, McMillan says "It's the molecule used in the products. This line was developed by MIT [Massachusetts Institute of Technology] scientists and has a molecule that works from the inside out. When I first met with the company, they came to me in LA with a big suitcase filled with sample products. The scientist started to talk about the molecule in the line. It was the end of the day and I was tired. I said 'Really...we're going to do this? We're going to talk about how a molecule makes a difference?' Turns out, I couldn't hear enough about it! I could have listened to that scientist for three hours."

McMillan used the products the company hand delivered to him (Living Proof is based just outside Boston) and when he ran out of the No-Frizz Shampoo, he panicked. "I had to run to the local beauty store. They were out too! I knew if I were to ever endorse a line, this would be the one." McMillan uses Living Proof at the back bar and retails the products to his clients. "We all love it," he says. "I can't stress enough how easy it is to use and how it does what it says it will do. Even when I just use the just shampoo and conditioner, I can feel the difference. Good healthy products make good healthy hair."

In his new role, McMillan will be actively engaged in brand building, product development, and retail/salon events and programs. He joins an impressive team of stylists that includes Ward Stegerhoek (Co-Founder and Editorial Stylist), Mitch DeRosa (Co-Founder and Salon Owner), and Tim Rogers (Creative Director).

"LIVING PROOF proves itself," he said at the end of the interview. "Oh, I like that...I'm going to use that all the time!"
