Jubilee! has been running for 32 years...the longest running show on the Las Vegas strip. There are 85 performers in more than 1,000 costumes oozing with rhinestones and ostrich, pheasant and rooster feathers. It all takes place in Bally's, one of the classic and most beautifully located hotels and casinos in Las Vegas.

The elaborate retro-glam extravaganza features gorgeous showgirls, dazzling scenery, astounding specialty acts, dynamic music and graceful pageantry. It's old school and fabulous Las Vegas at its best.

Modern was granted access to the backstage area where I caught up with Jamie Lee Grover, one of the featured performers. She is tall and thin and totally fabulous. Although there is a lot of toplessness in the show, Jamie threw on a sweatshirt so we could focus on her make up!

It is the make up that drew us to the show in the first place and Jamie agreed to fill us in on the details.

"Our make up has to look great from the first to the last row," she told me as we ventured to the "feather room" for the interview. (Because there is nudity, we wanted to make sure to interview her where we wouldn't need to worry about what was in the background!)

"The focus is really on the eyes and lips," she says. "We have a partnership with MAC, allowing us to buy the make up at a discounted rate. We do go through a lot, so we've all learned how to apply expertly and economically."

The lashes were really breathtaking...designed specifically for Jubiliee. While powerful enough as is, many of the performers double up.

In this interview, Jamie Lee shares some of the details and her tips for professional make up artists.
