New Rusk VG-10 Blade Demonstrated

Maggie Mulhern | January 29, 2013 | 7:32 AM

Rusk Artistic Director Gerard Caruso was having a wonderful show at the 2013 International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE) in Long Beach, California. He started on Saturday by prepping Nancy O'Dell of Entertainment Tonight for a photoshoot before coming to a stage surrounded by adoring fans.

"I don't go anywhere without an assortment of texturizing shears," Gerard told Modern backstage while he was putting the finishing touches on a model he was prepping for his last show. "The Rusk shears just make my life so much easier. I can create amazing and unique texture in a fraction of the time."

We asked Gerard to demo his new favorite shear..the VG-10 Beta designed specifically for thick, coarse and curly hair. The shear features an ergonomic design with a 360 degree rotating thumb.

In this one minute video, Gerard shows how he uses the VG-10 to offer internal texture in a money making and fun look presented on the Rusk stage.
