The Monique Lhuillier fall/winter 2013 collection was tasteful, classic and elegant.  So... it was no surprise that the designer called on beauty leads that would best express that level of sophistication.

Odile Gilbert, one of the most successful International hairstylists working today (and THE most successful female lead) used Kerastase to create the sleek knots to add the icing on the cake for the fashion. "It starts with a severe side part," Odile says. "All the hair is pulled in to a tight ponytail. Then take a ribbon and twist around the ponytail and turn it into a knot." The silhouette made a statement while not taking away from the beautiful Lhuiller designs.

Michelle Saunders, for Essie, chose "Icy Gray" nail shades to adorn the nails. "I see this as an as alternative to red," she said during an unusual break backstage. "This design is dramatic and elegant. As far as shape is concerned, I'm still attracted to an almond shape, but for fashion week we try to go with the model's existing shape."

The beauty leads share their thoughts in their own words in these two short videos. Check it out!
