FASHION WEEK: Nick Irwin for TIGI at Mara Hoffman

Maggie Mulhern | February 10, 2013 | 6:32 PM

Nick Irwin, for TIGI, went rogue this season for the Mara Hoffman fall/winter 2013 collection shown at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC. While so many finishes were sleek or full, Nick decided to go for "skinny" hair.

"The inspiration for this show is all about mystics and misfits," he told me moments before showtime. "The models represent a caravan of new age sophisticated travelers." Nick adds that the hair is molded and "has a refined raw texture, accented with hair jewelry."

In this one minute video, Nick breaks down the look and offers his HOW TO. He adds,  "I'm just keeping the girls beautiful." We agree.
