The Kati Stern Venexiana runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York was, as predicted, a total stunner. With a whopping 76 couture evening gowns debuted, attendees were treated to a visual and audio extravaganza.

Gowns ranged from floor-length deep-teal velvets and plum satins to metallic tulle cocktail dresses and gold scalloped gowns with lace underlay.

Jeffrey Reitz and the team for Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi worked tirelessly backstage creating couture hair that perfectly complemented the gowns.

"This is runway hair--it's not ready-to-wear hair," Pelusi says of the look. "This is so sophisticated, we love the challenge each season--this is so beautiful."

The look is "part coif, part pompadour," conjouring up images of the 19th century (think can-can dancers), designed with Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi products.
