Smooth Operator

My friend Diana called me to go to our city’s local art fair—I wanted to go, but I was worried about looking like a fuzzball with the sticky Mother Nature situation happening. But I fought my gut’s urge to say ‘no,’ and pulled myself together to head out.

As I was about to throw on my typical humidity-fighting product, I instead reached for Smooth Infusion, and as soon as I opened the cap, the scent just filled the air and it smelled soooo awesome. I LOVE THIS STUFF! It’s like aloe mated with flowers to produce some kind of delicious-smelling, spicy but sweet offspring. (According to Aveda, what I was smelling is citrus floral, blended with rose oil, certified organic bergamot palmarosa and Australian sandalwood.)

Not only that, but it’s powerful stuff. My hair is usually ‘fro-ish right after blow-drying, but pre-flat ironing. This time, it wasn’t nearly as bad, which severely cut down my time on flat ironing. By the way, for flat iron lovers everywhere, the serum also includes hydrolyzed wheat protein to protect the cuticle from heat damage from tools. And, the packaging is really nice too!

I went to the art fair, had SO much fun (bought a really cool painting of an old man riding a motorcycle), and my hair stayed perfect the whole time. Thanks, Aveda!
