Makeup Time: Kandee Johnson, Napoleon Perdis and More

The West Coast was especially pretty this week.  I had the chance to chat with some of the most boldly beautiful makeup experts under the sun, watch these gifted artists at work and learn about a celebration of the craft coming up in Hollywood.

I interviewed Beauty Vlogger Kandee Johnson at the new Vegas Beauty Unbound “extreme beauty” event just before her devoted followers flocked to her.

I watched makeup artist Cambria Serrano create a gorgeous California sunset on the eye lids of models at Los Angeles Fashion Week.  Working with Napoleon Perdis, Serrano and the NP team made up swimsuit  models in lovely sweeps of fuschia, pink and orange.

I was invited to The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE Local 706) 75th Anniversary with a special gala evening at The Hollywood Museum, on Saturday, November 3.  MAC Cosmetics is the presenting sponsor.
