Once in Buenos Aires, we took an hour-long cab ride across town to get to BA’s domestic airport, where we caught another flight (two-and-a-half hours) to Salta, our final destination.

Whew.

To get ourselves fully prepped to spend 10 hours in coach, my fiancé and I spent our time wisely in Dallas—we went to the spa!

Like many other airports these days, the international terminal at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport has a spa for weary or stranded travelers. XpresSpa caters exclusively to the frequent flyer crowd and offers an array of treatments with times that vary, offering everyone an option.

I decided to go for a simple polish change since we were headed to a wedding and I was already chipping. My fiancé opted for the 15-minute tension reliever massage on his neck and shoulders. While we waited, we were seated for about 20 minutes in massage chairs—that in and of itself was wonderful. Our services were great, and we felt pleasantly refreshed and relaxed by the time we boarded our flight.

We will definitely take advantage of an airport spa again! It’s a great way to kill some time and the perfect antidote to a long flight! Although next time I think I might go for the full manicure and pedicure.

Once again, kudos to the beauty industry. Who else has the ability to make people feel so great, both inside and out?
