Achieve Kate Middleton's Hair Color

Kate Middleton’s style expresses poise, class and modern individuality. With the combination of Matrix Wonder Brown technology, there is an opportunity you can replicate her stunning cool and controlled look on your clients.

Try it: According to Matrix Artistic Designer, Robert Santana, for the background color he recommends combining equal parts of Wonder Brown 5A and 5N with WB 20 volume developer. “If your client’s objective is to be cooler, this can be achieved by using WB 5A with WB 20 volume developer,” he says. “Kate’s look reflects beautiful nuances of tone on tone brown reflection, and you can customize in strategic areas by using Wonder Brown 7W with either WB 20 or 30 volume developer (depending upon reflection and illumination).”

The customized reflection should be done with a slight feathered approach to create a smooth transition from the background color to the mid length and ends. This creates a very natural sun kissed effect, which Kate wears. “For the finish, you can either use Biolage System’s Voluma Therapies or Biolage Smoothing Therapies depending on the hair type,” says Santana. “Blow dry the hair by using a round brush and keep each section in a clip until the entire hair is dry. Allow to cool, then release, and spray with hair spray.”
