Alterna Hosts First Annual Education Summit for Professional Stylists

Over the course of two days, 45 beauty professionals from across North America came to experience higher hair education at Alterna Professional Haircare's “Natural Luxury Down to a Science” event. Part of the Alterna Stylist University (ASU), the stylists participated in classes with subject matters ranging from product education and retail methods to cutting skills. Participants got a first look at the 2010 Mind, Body and Spirit Collection (Alterna’s newest cutting/styling collection created by Global Creative Director, Michael Shaun Corby).

Stylists also got to meet and interact with industry visionary and style-maker Corby, himself. Corby took a hands-on approach throughout the schedule, making time to answer questions and lend personal insight and product knowledge. “Salon owners and professional stylists are fundamental to what we do,” says Corby. “They are trusted ambassadors of the Alterna brand, so we are always looking for new and exciting ways to give them the products, knowledge, and technology to make them successful in their trade, and untimely to drive sales.” Members of the Alterna Creative Team as well as Sales and Education Managers were there to support the event.

Alterna has plans to repeat the event next year and expand ASU’s course offerings. For information visit alternahaircare.com.
