LIPTOXYL ROUGE

My review…

I tried out "Nude Scene" and "Pinkberry;" two new shades in the Spring 2010 LipToxyl Rouge collection.  When I tried on Nude Scene, I found that it was best paired with beige, brown or green eye shadows because the lipstick itself has a brownish – tan hue to it.  Just after its name, this would be a good lipstick to wear if your clients want a subtle, natural look.  When you put on the lip gloss, your lip's moisture activates the Collagen Tripeptide Complex which is what plumps up your lips.

Since I have a small brown freckle on my lip, if the lip product I am wearing covers that mark, then I will judge it as "good/full coverage." It's kind of a funny way to determine coverage, but you get the idea.  Nude Scene, DOES provide full coverage.

Pinkberry, provided a mid-range coverage on my lips.  The lipstick is subtle, hydrating and has a pink-peach tint.

LIPTOXYL SHEER
My review…

This is the perfect lip gloss for your clients to wear outdoors on a sunny, spring day so everyone can see its full glittering effect. Whether they are going shopping for an afternoon, taking a walk in the park or going to a barbecue, it's an ideal product they can wear anywhere for any occasion.  It's pretty much the LipToxyl Rouge in the form of lip gloss.  I found it provides mid-range coverage, while adding sparkly shine.  Once I applied the gloss, I instantly felt a slight tingle on my lips.  After letting it sit in for a couple minutes, I could already feel my lips getting plumper.  Don't worry, they didn't get OVERLY plump, just enough to notice a small difference.

This is ideal for the client looking to add a little 'umph' to her lips.

LIQUID LUSTRE

My review…

Liquid Lustre is SUPER shiny and it has a VERY metallic gold color.  In my opinion, it's the sister lip gloss to LipToxyl Sheer.  It's like painting gold on your lips – and a little bit goes a long way...great product to possibly wear to a dance club.

SUPERWEAR MASCARA

My review…

It's an easy-to-clean brush with separately defined bristles.  This is helpful because then the mascara doesn't clump as much.  It took 2-3 swipes to get complete coverage and the full look I wanted.  The mascara doesn't smudge or budge once it's dried.  From the the point I applied the mascara in the morning to the time I took it off at night, it was still very noticeable on my eye lashes.

SUPERWEAR BROW DEFINER
My review…

This product was wonderful!  I have very faint eyebrows that without make-up are not well defined.  I feel like when you put on both eye makeup and mascara this product completes the whole look.  The brow definer went on smoothly, set instantly, and didn't smudge after drying.  It's very felt-tip pen made it easy to paint on ‘imitation eye brow hairs' – so it gave me the look of fuller eye brows.

BOTANICAL SHADOW PRIMER
My review…

This primer comes out looking like a pale concealer, but for your eyes!  If your clients have purplish or pinkish eye lids, little veins, or simply want their eye makeup to stay on longer, use this product before applying eye makeup.

In the past, I have used some eye-shadow primers that go on with a metallic finish.  After putting these on, I felt like all of my eye makeup had a metallic shimmer to it in some way or another.   With THIS primer, it mocks your skin color.  With THIS primer, the eye shadow color you are applying on top of it, turns out as the true color.

SIGNATURE SHADOW QUADS – These are color-coordinated, shadows in pearl, shimmer, iridescent and metallic finishes.  The hypoallergenic formulas are non-irritating and fused with Vitamins A and E to condition and protect your lids.  Colors come in: Purist (Earth Tones – shimmering brown, bronze and nude), Cougar (icy purples and blues), Surrealist (seductive pinks and plums) and Goddess (natural hues of peaches and greens.)

My review…

I tried out two different signature eye shadow quads, Surrealist and Goddess.  After application of both these palettes, I believe they can be versatile colors for all eye and hair types.

When I applied the Surrealist, I used the pink and mid-range purple on my eyelids.  For definition and a wider-eyed look, I applied the dark purple along my eye-bone, and the lightest purple right under my eye brow.  Then I shaded it lightly in with the colors I already had applied to my eyelid.

For the Goddess quad, I chose to apply the light green color to my eyelid, the dark green and dark brown along my eye-bone, and the peach right below my brow.

However, with both of these quads, you can apply them in any order you want - this is just the way I chose to do it.  That's the great thing about having multiple shadows in one compact – you can switch it up every time.  It's great to recommend to clients who may have on-the-go lifestyles.

That's it for now.  I recommend trying out YOUR NAME'S new Spring 2010 cosmetic line.  It's good looking, and long-lasting makeup!
