History was made when Miss U.S.A. 2009, Kristen Dalton, crowned her successor Rima Fakih, the first Arab American to win the Miss U.S.A. 2010 pageant. The 59th edition of the Miss U.S.A. pageant was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 16, 2010. The show was broadcasted live on NBC and it was webcasted live, for the first time, via Ustream.

"I am an advocate for peace and love so it is exciting to see how far our country has come. President Barack Obama made history becoming the first African-American president, and only two years later Rima Fakih becomes the first Arab-American Miss U.S.A.," says Farouk Shami, Founder and Chairman of Farouk Systems.

For eight consecutive years, Farouk Systems has supported Donald Trump's and NBC's Miss Universe Organization that has millions of fans watching.  This year, there was a lot of controversy with the Miss U.S.A. photos.  However, Farouk Systems has worked with the artistic and world-renowned photographer, Fadil Berisha, on several CHI Magazine covers.

According to Farouk Systems "We trusted his creative and professional instinct. We believe that the images and the hair were very tasteful and classy. The Miss Universe Organization draws the attention of beautiful, talented, ambitious women by affording them opportunities that fulfills a big vision and allows them to accomplish their dreams."
