Hair Transformations

When someone fighting with hair loss receives a new head of hair, it can be both an emotional and rewarding experience. For the past 11 years, Dyannmarie Tanso, an Image Stylist at the Hair Club in Boston has worked with balding clients from aging or disease. “My job is centered on making sure my client leaves the Hair Club looking and feeling great,” she says. “When I work with clients I try to create a hairstyle that will help them project a positive, confident and self-assured presence.”

Tanso says that on occasion she will encounter clients who are quiet and insecure about their appearance. “My goal is to make them smile when they see the work I have done for them. I’ve seen grown men cry in my chair, and I have had women clients whose husbands have never seen the top of their heads before!

With over 92 Hair Club centers across the United States, Tanso along with Image Stylists all over the country also work with children, ages 6-17, in the Hair Club for Kids, which offers free hair restoration services. “It’s incredibly moving to see how much of a person’s life is given back to them when they receive hair restoration,” she says.
