So I heard about this survey that Wella Professionals recently announced called "Are You Color Savvy?" and I thought it had some pretty interesting statistics! For the survey Wella polled over 1,500 women between the ages of 18 to 49 to find out the where, how and why they color their hair. Check out some of the key stats below!

92% of women have colored their hair at some point in their lives.

Why do they dye?

72% of women felt more attractive after they dyed their hair
69% felt more confident
49% felt more sexy
42% felt more youthful

How are they doing it? Taking into consideration colorists' expertise, training and knowledge as irreplaceable benefits…

64% of women visit the salon for hair color results they believe cannot be duplicated at home.
97% of women trust and expect their colorists to use the right products on their hair.

Your colorist is a trusted confidant; 45% of women chat about their personal lives in the chair. But, what is he/she putting on your hair?

Only 13% actually discuss the products being used!
70% have never even asked their colorist what salon brand he/she is using.
62% of women report spending less time researching salon color than any other beauty products or services.
