In 1969, Maria Antonietta Diodato Parnazzini began her career as a hairdresser in Italy. For two decades she worked on shaping her design theory and ultimately laying the groundwork for improving the beauty industry through education and developing a line of quality salon products.

When the pieces of her vision were in place, Maria launched her business. She wanted the name of her products to be meaningful and relevant to the salon and its clients, so in 1992 she created SCREEN. In Italian, the word "screen" is synonymous with reliability and protection as in, "We'll take care of you."

Screen Classic Color was the first product Maria launched, followed by ammonia-free and plant-based color. Today Screen is a complete line of products for the professional. From cleansing and conditioning to styling and finishing, reconstructing, repair and more.

I tried out select products from this collection-specifically the Repair line. The repair line of products are formulated with an internal reconstruction system called KT Complex. There are many parts to the system: Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Remedy One, Duocare, and Rescuend-but I only tried out Stages 1-3 and the Rescuend's Split End Drops.

Stage 1 is simply a shampoo. Stage 2 and 3 are both conditioning treatments. After shampooing, apply Stage 2 to towel-dried hair, gently massage into the hair and then rinse. Then apply Stage 3 to towel-dried hair again and leave on for another 5 minutes. After BOTH of these treatments my hair felt significantly conditioned; but you have to use both products. After all three stages, you can opt to use Duocare which is a 2-phase leave-in spray which helps improve hair's structure, strength, softness and brightness. I chose to use the split end drops which help seal the cuticle in order to prevent breakage.
