One of the very best shows during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week was held in the Library at Lincoln Center. For three hours before "show time", Ted Gibson and team created an appropriate hair design for Rachel Roy's "Journey of the Urban Nomad" Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Using L'Oréal Professionnel's Texture Expert line, Ted created colorful braids that perfectly complemented the haute hippie style of Rachel Roy's designs.

"I was inspired by the bright colors and fabrics of the collection," said Ted. His choice to incorporate swatches into the hairstyle was a nod to the cosmopolitan voyager that Roy portrayed in the collection."Weaving fabrics from the collection into the models' hair brought to life Rachel's muse, the ‘urban nomad. The look has a young downtown bohemian feel that any woman could recreate at home."
