It's interesting to find a high end salon way over on the west side of Manhattan on the 8th floor of a high rise office building.

Well…that's exactly where Karaal USA, the family owned color and support line that arrived to the United States from Italy just one year ago, made it's NYC debut.

Founded in 1981 in Italy, Kaaral USA was launched in the United States in May 2010 by industry experts Francesca Raminella (CEO, business strategy and commercial relationship) and Paul Smith (business partner and director of Education and Product Development).

While the line is already in hundreds of salons throughout the United States, it made its presence known this week at the James Bentley Salon in that 57th Street location.

"High quality is one of the top priorities of Kaaral USA," Raminella told me at the launch party that hosted hundreds of key members of the professional salon community including salon owners, distributors, Kaaralieri (Kaaral educators) and a team from East Coast Salon Services, including founder and president Stan Klet. Also in attendance was the founder of Kaaral, Silvano Vitulli, who arrived from Italy, along with his son Nicola Vitulli.

Kaaral offers four lines to clients: Baco' Hair Color Collection, Purify Hair Care range, Style Perfetto styling line and Pink Up, a fun and flirty haircare and styling products. The presentation to introduce the line to all in attendance included three models sporting shiny and healthy color from Baco in red, blonde and brunette.

"Our mission is to engage and truly support savvy, contemporary salon professionals by offering products of the highest quality, interactive and inspiring education and creative marketing tools," said Raminella.

"Our motto is ‘Kaaral…passion is at the heart of beauty',"Smith told me before the celebration wrapped up. "We are thrilled to make our Manhattan debut here at the James Bentley Salon."
