If day one is any indication, this is going to be a GREAT fashion week…at least from a hair perspective!  The talented hairstylists behind the scenes have really tapped their genius and have come up with some very clever looks.  Of course I will have a nice wrap up in Modern's November issue, but in the meantime:

the FUZZ:   These are my favorite looks so far..frizzy and fuzzy.  It's odd, considering all the "de-frizzing" products out there, that these looks made such an impression!  "Grey Ant" (Cervando for Rusk) had a nice assortment of shades, but all the looks featured flat crowns and heavy, fuzzed fringes.  Very cool.

The best frizzy, fuzzy at "Grey Ant" (Cervando for Rusk)….turned out to be a wig!

more FUZZ:  Also very cool was the lone fuzz head at Abaete.  Although all the other looks were quite tame, this mane had a life of its own.  David Cruz for Redken offered control with a wide band.  This was a winner.

The real deal…the best fuzz from David Cruz for Redken.

favorite moment of the day:  Nigel Barker, the photog and judge for the television reality series "America's Next Top Model", sat next to me at the Alexandre Herchcovitch show. He INSISTED that he have his picture taken with me (okay…maybe it was the other way around). The hair at this show, courtesy Sandra Yu of Rusk, was the opposite of fuzzy. Sleek, tight and clean. My good pal Nige' and I loved it.
