During the month of February, the salon sets aside 10 percent of profits from five services: Lavender Hair Extensions with the extensions themselves donated by So.Cap. USA; Lavender Vanilla Spa Pedicure; Grape Antioxidant Facial; Lavender Sage Antioxidant Facial; and Lavender Sage Aromatherapy Massage. The 10 percent is then donated to the Racine Cancer Care Foundation, an organization the salon created in association with its Mondays at Racine cancer care program, which every Monday provides complimentary services and supportive therapies to people currently in cancer treatment.

Racine Salon & Spa plans to roll out a toolbox for salons all over the country to duplicate its Mondays at Racine program. If you would like to regularly or occasionally offer free services to cancer patients, check #healthyhairdresser on Facebook and Twitter in late February or early March for an announcement when the toolbox becomes available.
