Episode 2 shocked us all by the early exit of Giacomo. The pressure is on and at this point we’re all feeling it. I was a little disappointed. I left my three kids, salon and the "good life" to bunk with these clowns. Where's my refund? Not cool Giacomo. That was wack-amo. More importantly, I was thinking who's going to cook? He was the house chef. All Faatemah cooks are Frye boots! Speaking of food, the elimination challenge left a bad taste in some of the contestants mouths.

This short cut challenge was hard for the entire cast. I choose to go with copper lowlights. Kim Vo felt I was playing it safe. Brian managed to get bleach in his clients eye and do horrific color all in a single bound. I was hoping she was temporarily blind in one eye so she couldn't see the hideous color. According to Brian it's a special time-release color. Give it two weeks and a few washes. Voila, ugly color will fade to beautiful. Kim Vo shot that theory down like a duck during hunting season.

Matthew really impressed me. Not only did he win the short cut with a color miracle, his interpretation of his dish was innovative and beautiful. I'm starting to feel he is a strong contender a this point. The red flower in his model's hair was made of hair! I watched him color a blond extension red, then flat iron it into a rose. Impressive, Matthew.

Congrats to Jon who won the challenge. His scallop interpretation was seamless and the bang was a nice touch. Bravo Jon.

Amy was the weakest link in this challenge for me. First mistake, not tasting the burger! Maybe the calories would have given her the energy for the challenge ;-)

Adee’s steak tar tare looked like his runway madness. Adee's bipolar tendencies, tantrums and cry baby tactics are not winning my respect. Man up!

Holy bleach in the judges eyes?! Arzo should not have been sent home in my opinion. Granted not the best color or updo but not the worst of the lot. You decide.

Random Rant:
1. Adee should have left last week. I'm just waiting on him to throw a tantrum and throw something in my direction. Time out will have a whole new definition when I'm done with him!
2. Still mad Joey was cut last week. Easy on the eyes. Never wore a shirt. Totally straight! Trust me, the nose works for him;-). Oh, and also a great hair stylist. Once that stripper took the runway she never looked back. She walked off the stage with Joey's fate trailing behind her...
3. I want all viewers to know the challenges were in real time. All the extension hair used in each challenge was colored by contestants for each challenge. Most stylists can't do a full foil and hair cut in 2 hours. Now add the stress of a food-inspired updo.
4. What I learned this week? I'm not a fan of flan.

This season has more twists and turns than a roller coaster! Strap yourself in and brace yourself. It's gonna be a bumpy ride! I'm off like a prom dress—until next week, my pretties!

Ciao,
Faatemah
