(Photo by Steve Granitz/WireImage) Cascading waves and updos were easily found on many celebrities at the Oscars this year, but not on Charlize Theron. Theron was amoungst one of the women wearing shorter hair for the evening.

While being interviewed on the Red Carpet with Ryan Seacrest she said "shaving her head was the most freeing thing she's ever done." The Academy Award winner added, "I had two huge garbage bags full of hair products that I donated to charity. The look I am wearing tonight is three months old hair!"

Celebrity stylist Enzo Angileri, using Wella Professionals products says, “My inspiration for her Oscars style came mainly from her short hair, which she cut three months ago for a movie. Now it has grown out to a length where it could be styled into a sophisticated, yet androgynous look that complemented the sleek lines of the Dior haute couture gown. Angileri adds, “I wanted Charlize’s hair to look like she got out of jeans and a t-shirt and put on a gown because the style is so simple and chic.”

TRY IT:

Here’s how Angileri achieved the look:

STEP 1: After washing and conditioning, Angileri applied Wella Professionals Natural Volume Styling Mousse to wet hair to direct hair into place.

STEP 2: Then blow dry hair with a diffuser until it’s 100 percent dry and in place.

STEP 3: Rake hair down with a brush following the part and shape of the head, leaving volume at the top of the head.

STEP 4: Angileri used Wella Professionals Shape Shift Molding Gum to mold the hair and create a texturized look and feel.

STEP 5: Finally, he finished with a light mist of Wella Professionals Shimmer Delight Shine Spray to give hair luminosity on the red carpet.
