Jennifer Lawrence's New Sleek, Chocolate Brown Tresses

With a new season just around the corner, the trees and the leaves aren’t the only things changing color. Clients who may have lightened up or experimented with hues over the summer could be inspired by fall to return to their darker tresses. Which brunette celebs could serve as inspiration? Check out the new look Jennifer Lawrence debuted recently.

The originally blonde starlet most likely made the transition from light to dark for her return to the film set for the second movie in the “Hunger Games” series—her character sported darker hair in the first movie—and not because of the change in seasons. But at the premiere of her new film at the Toronto Film Festival, Jennifer showed off her lust-worthy new chocolate brown style, created by celebrity stylist David Babaii, who also styled her other looks at the festival and said he wanted to create a “high fashionista” look for Jennifer. Babaii has a quick recap of how he achieved this simple but sleek style for Jennifer (and how you can recreate it for your clients).

-After warming it in the palms of his hands, Babaii applied a small amount of IT&LY’s Pure Water Drops throughout the hair. -Next, he dried Jennifer’s hair with a nozzle attachment and a large round brush to smooth out and straighten the hair. -When drying, Babaii sectioned the hair (top, sides and back) and dried from nape to finish. -After creating a side part, he went over the hair with IT&LY’s Racing Red Professional 1” Digital Iron. -For the final step, Babaii sprayed a toothbrush with IT&LY’s Pure Definition Hair Spray and gently brushed the top layers for a soft hold to define Jennifer’s part.
