Celebrity Style: Julianne Moore's Flowing Tresses

By Lauren Salapatek | 04/21/2011 2:30:23 PM

Stepping away from her glamorous routine, Julianne Moore has been seen wearing her signature red tresses not only wavy and straight, but without much styling at all—or so it seems. To achieve this natural look, Redken Session Stylist Giovanni Giuntoli provides us with his steps.

Try it: “For natural, soft flowing tresses like Moore, first blow dry Redken’s Guts 10 Volume Spray Foam into the hair. Then use a wide-toothed brush to blow dry hair, keeping a bit of volume in the ends. Once the hair is completely dry, mist in Redken’s Nature’s Rescue Radiant Sea Spray to build texture in the hair,” says Giuntoli.

“Then divide hair into long, vertical sections and with a large barrel iron 1.25? or larger create soft waves. Don’t elevate the sections in order to keep the movement on the mid shaft and ends and not the scalp. Mist with Redken’s Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray to keep the hair looking natural, soft and moveable.”
