This celebrity stylist is hitting the small screen with TV show, The Price of Beauty, with friend and client, Jessica Simpson.

THE COOLEST LOOK I EVER CREATED: Lady Gaga for Dancing With The Stars. I based the look on the Vidal Sassoon “Halo.” Her hair is platinum, but I gave her a long lavender tail in the back.

MY FAVORITE ITEM IN MY WARDROBE: A pair of Lanvin tennis shoes Jessica [Simpson] bought me while we were filming our new show, The Price of Beauty, in Japan.

MY FAVORITE PRODUCT: Hairdo Human Hair Clip-in Bangs! Jennifer Lopez loved them so much when I used them on her that she wore them for her character in her upcoming film.

THE BEST THING ABOUT MY JOB: Being able to reintroduce someone to themselves, have them look into the mirror and love what they see!

THE TOUGHEST PART OF MY JOB: The insecure opinions of others imposed on what I do in an effort to camouflage their own lack of creativity. I am an artist—we all are. I would never say that the way another artist expresses their creativity is wrong. We need to encourage one another to be free to create, not free to follow.

THE BEST JOB I EVER HAD AS A HAIRDRESSER: Makeovers for Oprah Winfrey. I just finished five of the most amazing makeovers for the 10th Anniversary issue of O magazine. They are incredible, and I was truly honored to be a part of it.

MOST PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT: I built my first car and am a car enthusiast! I’ve raised the bar a bit now: I have a new Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, a Bentley GTC, and a couple others. I’ve even bought six of my friends and family cars. It is my true vice, or maybe that I have tattoos!

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM TRAVELING THE WORLD WITH JESSICA SIMPSON? Beauty is unique and individual and truly in the eye of the beholder. We need to open our eyes and look around and celebrate all the beauty around us. We must stop telling women what to change about themselves, yet encourage them to recognize and enhance their natural beauty.

HOW CAN SALONS MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE? A great “green” start is to encourage your clients not to wash their hair everyday—less water, less product, less packaging and better for the hair!
