This hair stylist at Tres Jolie salon in Minneapolis, and Wella Trend Vision finalist for the Young Talent category, draws inspiration from the arts, nature, fashion and technology.
My hair right now:
Completely natural, Mad
Men-inspired.
The coolest look I
ever created: Definitely my interpretation
of Wella’s Trend Vision
Midnight Stage. I drew inspiration
from Edgar Allen
Poe, fashion designers Gareth
Pugh and Alexander
McQueen, and Lady Gaga.
The color choices were
navy blue, cobalt, indigo
and damson.
My favorite product:
Wella Koleston Perfect.
The best thing about
my job: The relationships
I have with my clients,
peers and mentors.
The toughest part of
my job: There are only
24 hours in a day.
The best job I ever
had as a hairdresser:
Representing Wella as
a training specialist.
If I hadn’t become a
hairdresser I would
have: Taught Spanish.
My perfect day
involves: A long run
followed by teaching an
inspiring hair color class
followed by dinner at
Barbette with friends.
My secret weapon:
Cellophanes by Sebastian.
I would love to meet:
Annie Humphreys.
My cause: Human Rights
Campaign.
My mentor: The brilliant
stylists I work with every
day, my Wella family and
my first mentor—Judy
Baccas.
I became a hairdresser
because: I fell in love
with the magic of hairdressing—
in every way.
