Phase IV of Sebastian Professional’s What’s Next Awards comes to a close as Sarah Merrie of Hollywood’s Hairroin Salon finds fame and glory, for showcasing the most vibrant color shine in her winning look entitled, "Pop Color." As the grand prize winner, Merrie will join the Sebastian Professional styling team backstage at New York Spring '12 Fashion Week.

"I was interested in creating the effect of a vibrant palette while emulating the gradient feel of natural hair color, keeping it dark at the base and gradually lighter towards the tips," says Merrie. "I guess you could say I was inspired by applying the laws of nature to the extreme.”

Runner ups include: (First) Rush of Red by Jordan McLeod of Salon 1800 in Chicago, Illinois; (second) Fuchia's Justice by Omar Antonio of ME an Omar Antionio Salon in Benicia, California; (third) Adrina Mekertichian of Lukaro in Beverly Hills, California; Glory Crown by Ale Bonilla of Esoterica Studios in Fort Worth, Texas.
