When a salon’s interior is all white, eyes naturally go to the beautiful looks created by the talented artists. At Cristiano Cora salon in Manhattan, though, the salon’s monochromatic, minimalist interior is just as eye-catching as the hair styles.
A row of styling stations populates the length of the studio, and the wall contains built-in shelves and pockets to hold products and styling tools.

“The organic, modernist design of the studio, with its clean lines and sensuous curves, is the perfect setting for a designer like me, whose signature look is both functional and beautiful,” says owner and Vidal Sassoon-trained Cristiano Cora. “With stunning furniture, whose forms truly follow their functions, the feeling you get when you enter the studio is that of stepping into the future, where luxury and beauty become entwined.”
Bright red, art-deco shampoo stations give a shot of color.
