On September 10, Redken 5th Avenue NYC and essie teamed up to host Trim Hunger Cut-A-Thon at the Redken Exchange in New York. The event raised a grand total of $16,310 for City Harvest, the world's first food rescue organization dedicated to helping feed the nearly 1.4 million New Yorkers facing hunger. 

Top Redken stylists, along with a team of 65 volunteers, gave haircuts, blowouts and braids to guests. Essie provided guests with "orange thumbie" manicures using its "Roarrrrange" color polish, symbolizing the fight against hunger in the cause's orange hue.
